NewSpace Research and Technologies (NRT) is a Bengaluru-based aerospace and defence technology company focused on developing next-generation unmanned and cyber-physical systems for global markets. Founded in 2018, the company specialises in advanced UAVs, autonomous systems, persistent aerial platforms and satellite-related technologies. 

NRT’s core vision is to build globally relevant unmanned aerospace systems from India. Its Next Generation Missions & Technologies (NGM&T) programmes address a wide range of military and civilian applications, including intelligence, surveillance, communications, disaster response and other complex operational requirements. The company develops its technologies across hardware, software, autonomy and advanced mission systems, enabling intelligent platforms capable of operating in demanding environments.

The company is also developing persistent drones and High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS) platforms designed for applications such as Earth observation and communications, with some platforms targeting extended endurance of several months. NRT has further expanded its work into autonomous collaborative systems, including UAV swarms and next-generation uncrewed combat platforms such as Abhimanyu, an indigenous unmanned collaborative combat aircraft concept being developed to support manned–unmanned teaming.

With its focus on deep-tech innovation, indigenous development and advanced aerospace engineering, NRT is contributing to India's growing capabilities in autonomous and unmanned defence technologies. Its quality management systems for the design, development and manufacturing of unmanned and cyber-physical systems are certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
