- Aerospace veteran with 27 years of experience at Honeywell, Cobham, Pratt & Whitney, and Collins Aerospace, leading growth across the group’s five businesses.
Hyderabad. Raghu Vamsi Group, the Hyderabad-headquartered precision aerospace and defence manufacturing group, has appointed Mr Amit Pathak as its Group Chief Business Officer. In his new role, Mr Pathak will lead the group’s commercial strategy and growth across all five business segments.
Mr Pathak brings 27 years of experience in the global aerospace and defence industry, with a career spanning roles in engineering, business development, sales, strategy, product marketing, customer support, and programme management. He joins Raghu Vamsi Group from Collins Aerospace, part of RTX Corporation, where he most recently served as Regional Director for Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, leading international defence account management and sales.
Before joining Collins Aerospace, Mr Pathak served as General Manager and Board Member for Pratt & Whitney’s aircraft engines business in India. He began his career with Honeywell as an avionics engineer and went on to lead engineering product development programmes across the company’s facilities in India, Europe and the United States. Over the course of his career, he has also worked with Cobham.
Mr Pathak has also served as industry co-chair of the skills development sub-committee of the US India Aviation Cooperation Program and mentors startups developing artificial intelligence and computer vision applications for the aerospace industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Mr Pathak’s appointment comes as Raghu Vamsi Group expands beyond precision manufacturing into two new areas: advanced materials, including aerospace superalloys, and deep technology and autonomous systems, where the group develops unmanned platforms and indigenous micro turbojet propulsion.
These new areas complement the group’s established businesses in precision OEM manufacturing, mission systems and propulsion, and aircraft systems and MRO.

The group is AS9100D and NADCAP certified and supplies global aerospace, defence, energy and medical customers. It operates manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad alongside group entities in the United Kingdom and the United States and is commissioning a new integrated campus near Hyderabad’s international airport.
